Adult Education at Christ Church
The School of Christian Discipleship is a ministry at Christ United Methodist Church that offers a comprehensive listing of adult education courses designed to form, nourish and strengthen Christian faith and spiritual life. Here at CUMC, our mission is to make disciples by being a community where the gospel is encountered, embraced and embodied.
As we attend to our own personal spiritual development, we embrace the Gospel and grow in both faith and discipleship. Our program of adult education is designed to help you take responsibility for your own spiritual growth. This example of a previously published course book breaks down the courses into four categories: Bible Study, Beliefs, Christian Living, and Spirituality. Within each category you will find details about classes, events, and worship opportunities the exemplify what's been offered in the past at CUMC that relate to developing the particular area of Christian Discipleship.
Please note that the categories we have created here only represent one way of looking at balancing areas of your Christian life experience. Some classes and events can certainly cross the boundaries of our categories, allowing for cross-referencing. For instance, participating in a Sunday School class may qualify as a Bible Study or Christian Living experience — or both.

As a ministry of Christ Church, the only cost associated with The School of Christian Discipleship classes and events are ones that may pertain to specific situations (study books for a Bible study, Lay Academy registration, etc.). May God bless you as you embrace his Good News and grow into all God has created you to be.
