Africa Missions at Christ Chruch

Embodying the Gospel..."All the Way to Africa"

In February of 2007, Christ Church's senior pastor, Rev. Jan Brittain, and member Shirley Cromwell embarked on a fact-finding mission to Kenya and other areas of Africa. Their purpose was to find ways Christ Church could partner with the Methodist Church of Kenya to support their ministry efforts in helping the people of Africa. Since this time, Christ Church has supported the following projects in Africa through prayers and financial contributions. For more information about these and upcoming efforts, please contact the church office.

- Rain Collection Systems
- Alternative Rite of Passage Program for African girls
- Sponsorship of Students at the Africa Rural Institute (for more info, see details at right)
- "Nothing But Nets" campaign to combat malaria
- Deworming of African children
- Feeding of children at the Murera School
- Purchase of livestock for families in need
- Providing school equipment for students

Everyone Can Pray...
Christ Church members are commited to PRAYING for:
- AIDS orphans and the prevention of the disease
- The hungry, that they may be fed
- The sick, that they may be cared for and healed
- The lost, the lonely, the ones with no feeling of hope - that they may know Jesus.
