CEC Registration
2010-2011 School Year Registration Information
January has arrived and it is time to think about CEC registration for the upcoming school year! Below are the procedures planned for this year.
Click HERE for a Registration Form, which provides additional information regarding classes and tuition. Church members will also receive information through The Messenger. If additional forms are needed for siblings or friends, they will be available in the CEC office in the basket by the door for you to take as needed.
Please read the following information carefully and thoroughly. You may also click HERE to download further Guidelines for Registration. If you have questions, just check with the CEC. All students currently enrolled in the 2009-2010 term are guaranteed a spot for the 2010-2011 year, but not their choice of days. Students will be accepted based on the following priorities:
- Children of families who have been members of CUMC for more than six months.
- Children of non-members currently enrolled in the program and their siblings.
- Children of families who have been members of CUMC for less than six months and grandchildren of CUMC members who have been members for more than six months.
- Newly enrolling children of non-members.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the appropriate age or class placement for your child, please see the Director prior to registering. Our door is always open for questions, comments, or visiting.
Children with exceptional needs will be accepted into the program on the approval of the CEC Director and Committee.
Our non-refundable registration fee is $75.00 for the first child and $50.00 for each additional sibling. This fee, along with one month’s tuition, is required at the time of registration for ALL classes. The advance tuition may be paid in two equal payments, with half being paid at registration and the remaining amount due on or before March 17th in order to secure your child’s spot. Please consult with the CEC office regarding any extenuating circumstances, as we will try to work with you in any way possible. The tuition and registration fee are not refundable unless the family moves from Guilford County prior to August 1st.
Please write a separate check for each child’s registration and adv. tuition.
On the memo line of the check, please specify the amounts.
For example: Registration ($75)/Adv. Tuition ($215)
We are expanding our Parents Morning Out classes for the 2010-2011 school year. These classes for our “under 2’s” will be available Monday through Friday and you may register for any number/combination of days. The CEC office will group all PMO classes (crib, creeper, young toddler, and older toddler) according to age. Please be sure to include your child’s birthdate on your registration form.
Remember that if your child is currently enrolled in our Parents Morning Out, 2’s or 3’s classes, he/she is guaranteed a space for the upcoming year. However, choice of days is not guaranteed. We will limit our Kindergarten/Pre-Kindergarten class to 18 students. Therefore, we cannot guarantee all currently enrolled 4’s a space in Kindergarten/Pre-K, but will make every effort to admit any CEC 4’s who apply.
All classes operate from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Registration for children of Christ United Methodist Church members (who have been members for more than six months) may be dropped off or mailed to the CEC office January 24 through January 29.
