Christ Church Builds Its 10th Habitat House

2009 Habitat Build

Christ Church is excited to have just dedicated its 10th Habitat for Humanity house on September 20! The entire project was paid for and executed by Christ Church members, like yourself!

The following work was done by our own Christ Church members:

  • roofing
  • siding
  • doors and windows
  • porch construction
  • interior sheet rock
  • kitchen cabinets
  • bathroom upgrade
  • painting
  • floor refinishing
  • landscaping
  • new appliance installation
  • heating/AC installation

About Our 10th House and Family

The tenth house that our team of volunteers worked on is located on Fir Street. We did a rehab on this house that came back into Habitat's hands and was in need of almost complete overhaul.

When finished, this house became the home of German Aguilera, his wife, and children - a new Habitat family. They accumulated their "sweat equity" hours and were very excited about the move to Fir Street when the house was completed. A dedication ceremony was held on September 20th.

Please see the photo gallery above to see the project at different phases of completion.

Be in Mission With Us - Volunteer!

The success of each Habitat House that Christ Church builds is exclusively made possible by the countless volunteers! Countless people joined us this year to help make our 10th Habitat house the best yet.  Some helped by praying for the project, construction teams, members of committee, and the Aguilera Family. Others contributed financially. Some provided physical labor. And still others helped on the Food Crew to prepare and deliver meals to workers.
