Health & Wellness at Christ Church

Here at Christ Church, we encourage wellness on many levels: spiritual, emotional, as well as physical. The Congregational Nurse, Vicki Williford, promotes issues realted to health and wellness, and supports several opportunities and classes at Christ Church, including the following:

  • Yoga/Exercise Classes (see below)
  • Divorce Care and Recovery Meetings
  • Stephen Ministry Program
  • T'ai Chi Classes - usually offered at Welcome Wednesday; watch for details.
  • Periodical Health Fairs
  • Support for Aging Issues (blood pressure checks, hearing clinics, wellness visits, etc.)

Yoga Classes at Christ Church

 
Yoga and exercise classes are offered at Christ Church throughout the year. The spirituality of yoga in a church setting can be all the more restorative! Classes are taught by Mona Flynn, CUMC member and owner of LifeFit, Inc. Below you can find the classes being offered this summer and fall. All participants need a yoga mat and a blanket. A five week comprehensive beginners/intermediate class. Please bring your own mat and blanket and be ready for standing, seated, reclined, restorative poses and inversions. We will balance work, rest and fellowship!
