Kids Ahead After School Care at Christ United Methodist Church
Program Objectives
- To provide a warm, safe, nurturing, homelike atmosphere in which each child can develop a feeling of self worth.
- To give each child an opportunity to develop physically, socially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to the best of his her ability.
- To promote Christian-Judeo valuses and relate these values to the world around us.
Program Information
Kids Ahead is open to kindergarten through 5th grade students. Hours of operation are from 2:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. during regular school days of the Guilford County School System. All day care is available on teacher workdays, during Spring Break, inclement weather days, and some Christmas vacation days from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. The program occupies rooms 202, 204, 205, 207, 209, 211, and the gym of Christ Church. Teachers are dedicated to providing a nurturing, small group environment made possible with the low teacher/student ratio of one to nine.
Financial Assistance
A limited number of partial scholarships are available for families with demonstrated financial need.
