Cathy West, Coordinator of Music & ArtsPhone: 336-299-1571, ext. 309 I have been at Christ Church since 1993, when I began serving as the Associate Director of Music. My current position as Coordinator of Music and Arts allows me to not only utilize my gifts in service to God, but to help others find a place to both develop their artistic gifts and offer them to the glory of God through worship and outreach. I work closely with Andre Lash and Lynn Gordon to coordinate our many arts programs including choirs for all ages; instrumental ensembles including handbells, recorders and flutes; dance; drama for worship and large scale productions; and media technology education for youth. I especially enjoy bringing people of all ages together through our church-wide productions, which include Benjamin Britten’s “Noye’s Fludde” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music”, and I truly believe that there is a place for everyone in Music and the Arts at Christ Church! |

Dr. Andre Lash, Organist and Coordinator of Instrumental MusicPhone: 336-299-1571, ext. 308 With degrees in Music Education, Church Music and Organ Performance, 20 years experience as a fulltime church musician and additional work as an academician, André Lash brings a wealth of musical viewpoints to his responsibilities as Organist and Director of Handbells at Christ Church . One of our newest staff members, Dr. Lash states: “The excellence of quality of the music program at our church has long been known to me, so I consider it a privilege to serve under such a standard. At the same time, the prevailing warmth of welcome which my wife and I have received from staff and membership alike speaks volumes about the spiritual and relational vitality of the congregation. We look forward to a rich time of growth and service.” |

Lynn Gordon, Coordinator of Contemporary Worship and Children's MusicPhone: 336-299-1571, ext. 302 Having worked with children and church music all of my adult life, it is most exciting and challenging now to be part of a church this size and to lead the praise teams in New Horizon services, to direct our children’s choirs and drama. My heart’s desire is to worship our Lord and Savior with my whole heart, mind and strength, and hopefully, lead others to do the same. It is also my hope that together with the New Horizon praise teams, the technical teams, and the folks who whole-heartedly assist with the worship services each Sunday we can continually expand in excellence. Our children’s spiritual growth as well as their musical knowledge is equally important to me as we learn not just songs to sing for our worship services, but learn the Biblical message that drives them. My husband, Ken, and I are blessed to be part of the body that is called Christ Church. |
