Our Pastoral Staff

Rev. Jan Brittain, Senior PastorPhone: 336-299-1571, ext. 304 At the age of 16, I committed my life to full time Christian service but I had no idea what that would mean. For ten years I attempted to tell God how I would serve before finally asking God how He wanted me to serve. The answer to that question led me back to seminary, to pulpits near and far and now to the wonderful community of faith here at Christ Church. My greatest joy is still to be found in the pulpit. And though I do many things, my primary responsibility is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in bringing Bible based, prayer drenched, spirit powered and relevant sermons to the Christ Church pulpit. A close second is the joy I find in having a front row seat when others discover their own ministries and are empowered to serve in Jesus’ name. God has done incredible things in the 50 year history of this Church, but I remained convinced that God is yet to do even greater things among and through these people. I’m excited to be part of that and invite you to consider joining with us as we make disciples for Jesus by being a community where the good news is encountered, embraced and embodied. We’d be happy to see you any time the family gathers. |

I enjoy working with the wide range of responsibilities and huge diversity of people with which these areas afford me opportunities. I believe that there is a great joy in being a Christian and being involved in Christ Church as we serve God and others. Please contact me if I can be of any service to you. |

Rev. John Bletsch, Associate PastorPhone: 336-299-1571, ext. 307 I have been on staff at Christ Church since 1998 after moving here from Charlotte. From the very first day, I have enjoyed the rich worship life and multifaceted program of this congregation. This is a church I would choose to belong to even if I weren't one of its pastors. I feel fortunate that my three sons are growing up in a church deeply dedicated to making disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ and empowering those disciples to extend the ministry of Christ into all the world. I am primarily responsible for congregational care, adult education, and communications. I work to help the church communicate the Good News of the Gospel and all that it has to offer to the larger community of Greensboro. I also assist the church in the development of ministries and programs that help adult members grow in their Christian discipleship. One of the things that I enjoy most in my ministry at Christ Church is the role I play helping the church employ the technology of the Information Age in the pursuit of its vision and mission. I believe that the church should make full use of new technology in its worship and programs to communicate the timeless message of Christian faith. Please contact me if I can help you learn more about this church or about becoming a member of this congregation. Click here to follow me on Twitter and read my daily thoughts and insights. |
