Youth Ministry at CUMC
Winter Weather Cancellation
Due to the severe winter weather forecasted for this weekend, the Youth Ski Trip has been cancelled. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we are keeping the safety of all of our youth and adults in mind.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship - UMYF
Meets Sundays, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Junior High (for seventh and eighth grad-ers) and Senior High (for ninth through twelfth graders) groups offer opportunities for youth leadership development. A team of adult leaders works directly with the youth to develop relationships with each other and with Christ. The UMYF pro-gram is a key outreach arm of the church as it invites and welcomes youth from all--or no--religious affiliations. UMYF groups sponsor 3 annual weekend "trips" for each group: Fall Retreats, Winter Ski Trips, and Spring Beach Trips.
Sunday School for Youth
Meets Sundays, 9:50-10:50 a.m.
7th Grade Class: Focusing upon the special needs and interests of the young teen. We use the curriculum, "Bible Lessons for Youth."
8th Grade Class: Including Confirmation, this class explores the various meanings and expressions of faith and church membership.
9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Grade Class: This class investigates the impact of faith and the church upon contemporary issues.
Music and Arts Opportunities
Christ Church offers several options for youth to becoming involved in music and the arts, both in worship and other arenas. Please click here for more information.
Study Opportunities
Youth are encouraged to study God's word and strengthen their individual spiritual health, just like adults at Christ Church. To do so, occasional Bible studies are offered for youth, as well as a Sexuality Seminar for 7th and 8th graders which is offered at least every other year. Check back for current offerings throughout the year.

Worship Leadership
