The Chapel will be open for a Day of Prayer on Monday, August 28—the first day of school for Guilford County Public Schools—from 7am-7pm. Join us to pray for all students, teachers, and staff at all public and private educational institutions, including preschools; elementary, middle, and high schools; and colleges, and universities.
Join us for a day trip to the Cedar Creek Gallery in Raleigh, NC, to explore the National Teapot Show featuring more than 200 teapots in styles both traditional and contemporary, functional and conceptual, whimsical and serious. We will also enjoy lunch out in Raleigh.
There will be a brief Called Charge Conference on Sunday, August 13 at 12:10pm in the Sanctuary. This session is open to the congregation and members are encouraged to attend to hear of some exciting changes to our staff structure, including the status of our appointed clergy, which requires action by the Charge Conference.
Join us on Tuesday, July 25, from 6pm-8:30pm at Green Valley Swim Club (2815 Rutherford Drive). We’ll have a pizza supper, dessert, a time to celebrate our rising seventh graders, and of course, swimming! Cost is $6 for non-members of the pool; $3 for members (pay at the event). Bring a towel and wear your bathing suit!
Whether you’re a new or seasoned small group leader, you are invited to join us for "Making Your Small Group Work," a two-session training designed to help foster healthy group interaction and facilitate maximum growth. Members of small groups are also welcome, as this innovative approach equips both group leaders and members with essential skills and values for creating and sustaining truly life-changing small groups.
All rising seventh through ninth graders are invited to a four day mission experience right here in our own community! We will stay at the church for three nights and work for four days at Hampton Elementary painting on the black top and working with the kids who are participating in a Reading Camp that week. All meals starting Monday at lunch and continuing through Thursday at dinner are included in your fee. We will have a pool party on Wednesday evening and conclude with a celebratory dinner at Mythos on Thursday!

Join us for a special adult Sunday school session as Rev. Duane Morford shares about the "Wesley Heritage Tour" he led in May. On the trip, Duane and his fellow travelers visited cities and towns throughout England (including Epworth, Oxford, Cotswolds, Bristol, and London) where the Wesleys formed our Methodist way of thinking. All adult classes and individuals are invited to attend and help us kick off a week of learning about Charles Wesley, as we begin our "Wesley Village" Vacation Bible School for our children the next day.

The sixth annual Put the Shoe On Another Foot run/walk for children and youth will be held outside at the front of the church on Sunday, June 4 during the Sunday school hour (9:50am-10:50am).
All adult Sunday school classes and individuals are invited to attend an information session with one of our United Methodist missionaries. Paul and his wife began missionary work in the 1990s. Join us for muffins and coffee, and come learn more about our work in Zambia, Africa!

Join us for our annual Angus Barn–style steak dinner and silent auction benefiting the Dominican Republic Mission Team. Appetizers and the silent auction begin at 6pm; dinner begins at 6:30pm, and the silent auction closes at 8:15pm. Let's take a a retreat to have a time as a class to be together and talk about the next step in your lives and how your faith can go with you! Any and all current Seniors in High School are welcome. Our location is TBD, but the cost will be $50 to cover food and gas. We'll get fast food dinner on the way.
