CURRICULUM WORKSHOP FOR LEADERS OF ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES AND SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

Are you looking for new and different material for your adult class or group? Would you like some new ideas to engage your group as you study and share together? Do you want a deeper faith formation? A plan for spiritual growth? If so, then plan to join us on Sunday, October 12, from 5pm to 6:30pm in the Fellowship Center. Light refreshments will be shared, and Childcare is available upon request. Our program will be:

How to Write a Suspense Novel, and Other Secrets of Adult Education in Church

Veteran Christian educator Rev. Joe Hamby takes us on a fast-paced visual tour of the latest resources for adult Sunday school classes and small groups. Joe will also share his secrets on creating suspense in Sunday school lessons - of all places! Joe keeps the Seekers Class on the edge of their seats every Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Charlotte. He works at Central Piedmont Community College with students who get in trouble there and also at the Men's Shelter of Charlotte. Joe also takes his Christian educator skills to Foothills Correctional Institution in Morganton and Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Concord every month.
