A Celebration for Pentecost

This Sunday, May 11, we will celebrate Pentecost, also known as the "Birthday of the Church," at all worship services. Pentecost Sunday always falls 50 days after Easter, and the word "Pentecost" actually means "fiftieth day." We will remember the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the early followers of Christ, and celebrate God's gracious, enabling presence actively at work among his people today.
The 8:30 and 11:00 services (in the Sanctuary) will feature dramatic reenactments of the first Pentecost. We will also dedicate the new Sanctuary Steinway Concert Grand Model D piano at these two services.
The 8:45 New Horizon service will be held outdoors on the patio, and will include children's choirs, the praise team, and dancers. Bring your own chairs for this service!

Christ Church's Media Relations Team is in the process of organizing the next church pictorial directory with Olan Mills. Registration for photo sessions on the above dates has concluded at the church, but if you did not schedule your appointment, and are a current member, Olan Mills will be contacting you about scheduling for a remaining date/time.
If you have good photos of Christ Church members or events, please submit them to Teresa Tysinger via email (ttysinger@christgreensboro.org) or drop by the church office. Photos may be used for the ministry pages included in the directory. Be sure to include names of people pictured, the event, and date, if possible. Photos will be returned upon request.
