Welcome! We are so glad that you want to learn more about Christ Church! We are a community of people of all ages seeking to follow Christ and to make an impact in and beyond Greensboro. If you’ve recently worshipped with us on a Sunday, we are so glad that you came and hope that it was a great experience.  If you haven’t worshipped with us yet, we hope that you’ll be our guest sometime soon. Being a large church, we have a number of different worship services that appeal to different people and want to help you find the right fit. Click here to learn about our different worship opportunities.

As a part of the United Methodist Church, we have deep roots in the Methodist movement, which emphasizes that God is reaching out to all people and inviting them into life-giving relationships with God and with each other. When we respond, God’s grace continues to work in our lives, shaping us into the people we were created to be -- people of love, mercy, and hope.  While we are deeply anchored in where we’ve been, we are also actively listening to where God is leading us. We believe that God is working within our church, our community, and our world and we seek to partner with God in changing lives and communities!

We’d love to help you connect with God and with other people through Christ Church, so please explore our website to learn about all of the different opportunities. If you haven’t already filled out a Connect Card in one of our worship services, fill out the form at right so that we can get in touch with you, answer any questions you might have, and help you connect with Christ Church!

Our Beliefs

Click here to visit our Beliefs page. If you have any questions about our beliefs, feel free to contact us.

The United Methodist Church has produced some very helpful and entertaining videos on the subject of Christianity and Methodism called Chuck Knows Church. We hope you find them helpful as you learn more about our faith.

Christ 101

We are so glad that you’re interested in Christ Church! If you’re brand new and looking to learn more and meet people, Christ 101 is for you! This is a two-week opportunity on Sundays to meet members, staff, and pastors, enjoy some good food, and learn about the ministries of Christ Church.

  • Week 1: Join us at 9:50am as we enjoy some snacks, meet a few members, and hear why they love Christ Church! They’ll also answer any questions you might have about our church community. We’ll end with a short tour of Christ Church, so that you can see all the great things that happen on Sunday mornings!

  • Week 2: Join us for a lunch with pastors and staff, as they discuss the ministries of Christ Church and answer any questions you might have. We’ll also share the story of Christ Church and our vision of where God is leading us. We’ll also talk about what it means to be a member and, if you'd like, you can join after the lunch!

Christ 201

Recently become a member? We want to help you connect with the Christ Church community! Christ 201 is specifically geared towards new members and members who feel disconnected. This is a two-week opportunity on Sundays at 9:50am to deepen your connection to Christ Church.

  • Week 1: Join us as we explore the different worship opportunities at Christ Church, just in case you're still looking for the best fit.  We'll also give you some resources to engage in personal time with God. Then, we'll talk about the different types of small groups at Christ Church and help you find the best fit.

  • Week 2: We'll talk about the ways that God is impacting lives in the community and the world through Christ Church and how we are all invited to participate in that work with our time, talents, and treasure. We'll share the many different ways to serve in and through Christ Church and help you find the best fit, give your passions and talents.

Becoming a Member

What is Membership?

You certainly don’t have to become a member to participate in the ministries of Christ Church, but we encourage you consider making this commitment! Membership in a United Methodist Church is about making a covenant with each other and with God. The covenant that we make is that we commit to serve God and the church in the following ways

  • Prayers: Commit to pray for the church community, for its ministries, and for us to follow God’s hopes and visions for us.

  • Presence: Commit to participate in the church community. The church isn’t a building, it’s a community of people united in Christ!  Presence means participating in worship and a small group or Sunday School class where you can grow in your relationship with God and others!

  • Gifts: Commit to be generous with the blessings (resources, abilities, passions) God has given to us, by supporting the ministries of the church and God’s work in the world. Click here to learn about how Christ Church uses these resources to share the love of God and transform lives!

  • Service: Commit to serve God and others in and through the church. We invite you to visit our Missions pages to learn about some of the different ways to serve!

  • Witness: Commit to share the love of God and invite others to participate in the church community and the great story of what God has done in Christ.
