2016-2017 CUMC Endowment Disbursements

The CUMC Endowment is a permanent fund that will perpetuate future work of the church through its investment earnings. The Fund is intended for purposes that are not a part of our regular operating budget, or the regular giving of its members.

Approved uses of our Fund include the following:

  • Missions (for missions in and beyond the local church and community)
  • Building and grounds (capital improvements/expenditures that are not part of the annual budget)
  • Scholarships
  • Unbudgeted special needs and ministries recommended by the CUMC Trustees and Finance Committee, and approved by the Administrative Council

As a result of generous support from our members, the Endowment’s capital has grown to over $600,000.  Our Committee is pleased to announce disbursements for the 2016-2017 church year:

  • UMAR home for special needs adults, $1250
  • Wesley-Luther Society, UNCG, $1618
  • Hampton Elementary Reading Program supported by UMW, $1500
