Covenant is a new, in-depth group Bible study in which people read and discuss the Bible together, learning how to love God—and each other—better. The study includes three 8-week units, totaling 24 weeks. Each week includes video teaching from respected scholars from different traditions and backgrounds, followed by small group-based discussion of scripture.
Our Monday evening women’s Bible study will be starting back on Monday, September 8, at 7pm with Beth Moore's Children of the Day, a study of I and II Thessalonians. It will run for nine weeks. Please visit christgreensboro.org/ childrenoftheday for more information and to order the book. Contact Karen Foster if you have any questions.
Lost Christianities is the fascinating study of the three hundred year struggle among Christians over “right” things to believe (orthodoxy) and wrong beliefs considered heresy. Today, Christians accept the New Testament as the basis for understanding our faith; but what was Christianity like before there was the New Testament? The course will consider a variety of writings before the “church” finally decided what was theologically acceptable. Come and join others each Monday morning in the Disciple Room from 10am to 11:30am. First class meeting will be September 8, led by Dr. Bob Carter. Call our Reservation Line to sign up.
There will be a Tuesday morning Bible study on Paul's letter to the Romans, based on the Efird Bible Series. The study will have a video and then discussion led by Connie Leonard and Laurie Watkins. The study will begin on Tuesday, October 7, from 9am to 11am. This series is a twelve-week study, with a plan to continue with another until the late spring. Please sign up for this Bible study by calling our Reservation Line. Cost will be $15.
