This summer our elementary school children will study the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 and the story of the four friends lowering the paralyzed man through the room to be healed by Jesus. Super Summer Sunday School starts on June 8 and volunteers are needed now. You don’t have to have children in elementary school to help. Lessons are easy to plan and fun to teach. Children are divided into two age groups, so by signing up for two weeks in a row you can teach the same lesson to each age group. Youth are welcome. This is a great way to earn service hours. Sign up by visiting the bulletin board in the education hallway or contact Lynn Long in the church office (299-1571, ext. 314 or firstname.lastname@example.org). Super Summer Sunday School is a great way to get to know the great kids at CUMC.
Also, for the third year in a row, Logan Forbis will raise money for African children with the “Put the Shoe on Another Foot” race. During Sunday School all children and youth (grades K-12) will race on the church's front lawn. Donations raised will be given to our African mission team to help the children they will serve on their trip. Contact Logan and her family if you would like to help.
