Announcing our New Monday Night Worship Service

Where it was once common to attend church on nearly every Sunday of the year, this is no longer the case. In today’s increasingly busy culture, there are many reasons for this: Some have to work on Sundays. Others travel frequently on the weekends. Still others move at such a fast pace during the busy week that they opt for extra sleep on the weekends. For some, the challenge of getting children up and dressed and ready for church every week is just not worth it on a day that is meant to be for rest. On top of all of this, as our contemporary services continue to grow, some may show up for worship  only to struggle to find a seat. Being at capacity is a good problem to have, but a problem nonetheless!

The point is simple: For some, coming to church regularly on a Sunday morning is just not possible. In response, we are excited to share that we will be launching a new Monday night worship service at our Holden Road campus this September! Identical to our Sunday morning contemporary services, Monday Night Worship will offer the excellent music, powerful messages, informal atmosphere, and warm community that are characteristic of worship at Christ Church. It is our hope that this new worship service will not only help us reach those in our congregation who cannot attend on Sunday mornings, but will also serve as an opportunity to engage new people in our community.

Interested in being a part of this new and exciting worship opportunity at Christ Church? There are a few ways you can help:

  1. Commit to be at the launch of Monday Night Worship on Monday, September 9, at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Center at our Holden Road campus, and for the weeks following. We are hoping to draw in many new faces during these first few weeks, and we want to be sure they’re met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and bright smiles!

  2. Sign up to serve as a greeter, communion server, usher, or Connection Point desk volunteer. Contact Matt Gravely (mgravely@christgreensboro.org) for more information.

  3. Share the news! As we get closer to our launch date, we will be sharing tools that you can use to invite others to Monday Night Worship (and all of our worship services). We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to invite friends, coworkers, or neighbors who may not currently have a church home.

  4. Pray for those who are a part of making this service come to life, and for those whose lives may be touched by this new opportunity.
