This Sunday, May 19, we celebrate our youth and their special place in our church community! The youth and children at Christ Church have always been a priority for our congregation and we strive to value their input in being the church right now, not just the church of the future. This Sunday, nine of our high school seniors will reflect on their time growing up at CUMC and the ways God has moved in their lives supported by the church leader, mentors, teachers, and families.
These young people are inspiring and give a glimpse into their faith journeys as they are developing and growing with God. Join us Sunday to celebrate the ways God is working on the hearts of the young people in our congregation!
The seniors who are speaking are:
Youth Sunday will take place at our 9am and 11am services. (Our 8:45am and 11:15am services will follow their regular format.) In addition to seniors sharing their reflections, our Youth Praise Band, the Mustard Seeds, will lead the music at our 9am contemporary service. At 11am, our Youth Choir and Youth Orchestra will lead the music; at this service, all Youth Choir alumni are invited to participate in singing Psalm 139. Both of these services will be led solely by our youth so come prepared to be blessed by all that our youth have to offer through worship!
