Youth Intern – Summer 2019


Overview: The Youth Ministry Intern works with the Director of Youth Discipleship of in planning and leading youth ministry activities, events, and trips during the summer.

Term/Hours: The Intern will work an average of 10 hours per week, depending on the needs of the ministry. This includes some office hours and hours spent leading or assisting with activities. Weeks with major trips or events may include more hours. This position last for twelve weeks during the summer months, with the exact start and end dates to be set by the Youth Director, in consultation with the Intern around availability. Weeks may be taken off for vacation, as approved by the Youth Director, but the Intern must work a total of twelve weeks.

Responsibilities: To help the Youth Director plan and prepare for all trips and meetings as well as taking the lead to plan and help lead a few events throughout the summer. The Intern will work closely with the Youth Director in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications: This internship is designed for a college student or young adult with an interest in ministry and desire to explore it as a vocation. The individual must have completed at least one year of college.

Stipend: This position includes a $1,500 stipend to assist with living expenses.
