If you want to pay for an event, please go to the Event’s page and find the event you are registering or paying for, the giving page is not for event payments.

Ways to Give

  • Give securely online with your credit/debit card or your bank account by clicking the Give Online button above.

  • Give with cash or check during our weekly services.

  • Give by text message. Text “Give 100” (Change number to change gift amount) to 984-237-2862. You’ll receive further prompts to setup your one time or recurring gift.

  • Mail your gift it to the church office at 410 N. Holden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410.

  • Give from a Donor Advised Fund, Appreciated Securities, or your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) by contacting your financial advisor or IRA custodian. Please tell us if this gift is from a Required Minimum Distribution.

Give directly from your Donor Advised Fund

Now you can support Christ Greensboro and be part of our mission to embrace all people with the boundless love of God. By using the DAFDirect widget to the left, you can make a direct contribution from your Fidelity, Schwab or BNY Mellon donor advised fund. Your generosity helps us continue our programs and outreach efforts, enabling us to make a greater impact in our community. Together, we can transform lives and spread love to those in need.   • To give online, click the "Give Online" button at the top of this page. You can create an account or continue as a guest. If you are giving in honor or in memory of someone, at the top of the page select Give In Memory or In Honor, select the fund and in the optional gift description enter the name of the individual you are honoring. You can contribute online with a credit/debit card or your checking account.

  • We believe that giving is about us seeking to respond to and model God’s abundant generosity. Just as God has blessed us, we are called to bless others. In the scriptures, we see a tithe (10%) of income as the standard. As that might be a difficult leap for many people, we encourage you to prayerfully consider what it means for you to give sacrificially. Our goal is for all people to begin and continue a journey of generosity, so that all might discover the joy that come from giving of ourselves for the sake of others and the power of witnessing God using our gifts to change lives and transform communities.

  • You are welcome to give at whatever frequency best fits your situation. Many people find monthly or weekly giving to be a helpful practice for budgeting. Regular giving, particularly automated giving via our online giving platform or through your bank's bill pay service, helps to provide stability for the missions and ministries of Christ Church throughout the year.

  • Your estimate of giving is an estimate of how much you intend to give for the coming year. You submit an estimate of giving (card or online) to the church. While most estimates are made during the fall as a part of our Stewardship emphasis, they can be made and changed at any time of the year. Since estimated giving tends to make up the majority of our annual resourcing of the Mission and Ministry Plan, submitting this estimate allows church leaders to plan faithfully and set priorities.

  • You are welcome contact the Business Manager at any time and communicate that you need to change your estimate of giving. As the financial health of the people in our church community is important, we often offer classes on finances, such as Financial Peace University. Please don’t hesitate to contact us about these opportunities.

  • Christ Church mails statements midyear to help you track your giving, in addition to an annual statement for your tax return.

    Your privacy is important to us. While church leaders will thank you for your generosity, only those responsible for church financial information will know the specific amounts of contributions.

Gift Acceptance Policy

In accordance with IRS regulations for deductibility, all contributions to Christ United Methodist Church (the Church) become the property of the Church.  As such, it is within the sole discretion of the Church to determine how best to use all contributions to carry out the missions and ministry of the Church.  Christ United Methodist Church will make every effort to honor a donor's designation to an approved restricted fund; if the Church determines that allocating the funding for the purpose wished by the donor is not feasible, practical, necessary, capable of fulfillment, consistent with charitable needs of Christ United Methodist Church, or otherwise not appropriate, the Church shall have the power, consistent with all applicable laws or regulations, to modify any restrictions or conditions on the use of the funds.
