Katey is responsible overseeing Children’s Ministries, Family Life including Welcome Wednesday, and the South Carolina Mission Team. She grew up in the Greensboro/Jamestown area, mostly in the halls of Christ Greensboro. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and a Masters in Christian Practice from Duke Divinity. She is a Deacon in the United Methodist Church.

Katey is married to J.D. Galyon. They share two dogs, Gertey and Ruthey, and a son, James!
