Ministry Area Teams
WORSHIP & ARTS MINISTRY
The Worship & Arts Ministry Area is responsible for visioning and collaborating with the pastors and staff around the worship life of Christ Church and the various ways we engage with the arts. The leaders in this area help Christ Church pursue passionate, excellent worship in a variety of styles and in ways that engage all ages. They also work to strengthen the connection with the arts, so that all might experience God’s beauty and creativity.
CONNECTIONS MINISTRY
The Connections Ministry Area is responsible for helping people connect with Christ Church. Ranging from the hospitality we show guests to the ways we help long-time members connect with the ministries of the church, the leaders in this area want to make sure we are helping all people deepen their connection with the church community.
DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY
The Discipleship Ministry Area is responsible for collaborating with pastors and staff to shape the ways we help all ages grow in their relationship with God and sense of belonging to the church community. These leaders provide leadership for ministry strategies for children, youth, and adults, so that Christ Church will continue to be a community in which people grow in faith and love.
MISSIONAL ENGAGEMENT MINISTRY
The Missional Engagement Ministry Area is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the missional engagement of Christ Church in the local community and beyond. The leaders in this area ensure that the missions of Christ Church are in line with its vision and work to help the people of Christ Church deepen their involvement in missions.
RACE, RECONCILIATION, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
The Race, Reconciliation, and Social Justice team is charged with developing and implementing strategic plans where members of the congregation will have the opportunity to engage in a range of community building and missional activities focused on the goal of reducing racial inequities and promoting social justice for all. These activities will encompass CUMC’s mission of Love, Grow, and Serve and will extend as well as complement the existing discipleship and mission areas of the church.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRY
The Congregational Care Ministry Area is responsible for collaborating with the pastoral staff to create strategies that care for the various needs of the people of Christ Church. This team works to ensure that people in need of care and support of various types can find that in the Christ Church community.
CREATION CARE MINISTRY
Our newly formed Creation Care Ministry will help our staff and congregation implement best practices around our campus in caring for our environment.
